innovations like releasing non-stop re-releases and "3d" remakes? or were u talking about the rehashes (new mario wii, donkey kong country, 2d sidescrolling snes etc etc)
u don't need a time machine when it's obvious, the wii U's drawbacks far outweight it's positives (no real sticks, hugeness, only current gen tech)
games who are stylistically and artistically authentic don't age, just like movies and music that are the same don't either, regardless of ongoing technological innovation. but u are correct in that those are few and far between....but u could just pick those up when they come out and skip the rest. or yeah, just give it up, lots of things to do with ur time.
is this a joke? are 98% of the commenters on the first page high? they can't possibly looking at the same screenshots i am, are they even trying to compare that tank screenshot to ANYthing in the BF3 tank sequence video?????
not even close.
Ok, that's it, if all these skins aren't downloadable or unlockable in the game I'm gonna be PISSED.
well this pretty much invalidates this years EVO, maybe they should have waited until AE finals were over to announce it.
EA is just talking garbage. why? because after checking my 3d game library, they have only released ONE 3D game--crysis 2, which not many people bought anyway, and that had virtually NOTHING to do with 3D.
of course social gaming is a wider investment, it is tapping into a huge pre-existing market outside of console/pc gaming, while 3d is just an extension of the latter. sounds to me like some executive is just making excuses/marketing hype/lies to ignorant investors.
no they won't. they won't be anywhere close to killzone 2. maybe they'll be close to some of the worst bargain basement games though but nobody wants to play those anyway.
the control will still be garbage regardless.
killing the console market means people who used to play on consoles have stopped and instead are now gaming mainly on the ipad.
nothing could be further from the truth.
if anything, iOS games are just a new demographic, and sure they can make money there, but it is not competing directly with home consoles, and only some with the handhelds.
if ur making a smartypants comment at least make sure it reads right (it's "too" not "to")
i stop buying hard copies of pc games because they can only be activated once and are then junk, while if u digitally download you can download on multiple computers and don't have to worry about either the disc or the computer crapping out. other than that, i still buy discs (but not audio cds)
for 150 or less it's a maybe, and i'm a pretty big 3d enthusiast. i got a 135" 3d projector, and a fuji w3 3d pic/video camera...and learning from that glassesless 3d is more of a hassle than it's worth, but the difference with the camera is that you can always see it's products later in perfect 3d, while the 3ds visuals are in real-time. so if you move it the wrong way for a second and it messes up (not to mention pressing buttons all the time moves it around anyway).
i already played all those games
and mario kart will be the same exact thing all over again (for the 4th time)
i agree with this guy....i want to play mario 3d, but one playthrough would be enough. i'd rather just borrow it from somebody than pay 230 for it (new price + game + tax)
it's the same price as the god of war collections and ico/shadow of the colossus so not a big deal....it's good for me since i only want RE4 and won't have to pay for the other one.
would have been killer at 15 or less though.
unbelievable.....it actually worked. i used a link somewhere in these comments for the sign up site. i have bad company 2 digital deluxe edition on origin tho, and a few other games (mass effect 1, 2 etc)
it's niche because it's not a great concept. thq needs to come up with something that's all around amazing and their own if they want to survive, cuz they way i see it they don't have any viable franchises that they (and we) can rely on. maybe they can turn saints row into one, but everyone knows that originally it was just meant to be a gta clone.
nobody even rents this game at redbox, it's always there, for both systems
even wii 90 games party pack gets rented more...and brink
Completely disagree with this guy. The vita will not sell games at 99 cents each, nor will it games be only playable (or attention-holding) for mere minutes at the time. It is made for people who want to play REAL games which have particular artistic value, for people who are genuinely interested in the medium. maybe it's audience will be 1/40th the size of the mobile market, but it is priced effectively.
however, it will succeed regardless due to the HUGE hole in the mar...
people won't flock to it because they know they already don't use the wii they got.
