the first game was one of my favorite games last gen. dead space 2 really pushed the action aspect too far and was not nearly as effective or atmospheric as the first one. and dead space 3.... was gears of war with necromorphs. it was garbage. there is no coming back from that. the mythology of the series has been ruined and there is nowhere left for it to go.
the PS4 is going to sell millions in japan alone in the coming months. titanfall isnt going to save the xbox one. most of the people who got an xbox one already, probably got it for titanfall. so dont expect to move alot of units

this is why many people call it "COD with mechs." it is remarkably similar in its balancing and gunplay to call of duty, and that makes it easily accessible to casual/unskilled gamers.
they get sidetracked with all these mediocre sidegames and stuff people dont want. is there any reason FFXIII needed two sequels? was there really that much more to the universe that needed to be explored?

lets try to be intellectually honest here. the wii, at any given time in its life, was around a third as expensive as the PS3 or xbox360.
the wii was possibly the cheapest mainstream console in history, and thus one of the most underpowered. and because of this, its library similarities with the PS3 and 360 pretty much begin and end with "just dance" and "call of duty."
so it is demonstrably absurd to even compare the wii sales to the PS3/...
and when you take into consideration the cheap shovelware games that pad out the total software sales, its even worse. I mean, they sold wii games in drug stores like walgreens for under 5 dollars.
wasnt the wii shown to be the least played console since, like 2008? people bought it because it was cheap and gimmicky and then in a month or two it was a dust collector. that is the story for 90% of wii owners, including myself
