PlayStation should just make another Studio for Platformer. PlayStation need another Platformer Mascot since Knack is the only new Platformer Mascot on the PS4. But not many like Knack and I want PlayStation to make another platformer game taking inspiration from Mario 64 or Odyssey or Sunshine or Galaxy. After PlayStation 2 gen, you can see that PlayStation 3 gen weren't making that many Platformer and the one they had are sequels of previous gen. Now PlayStation 4 only done 3 platformer...
One thing is that Nintendo first party games sell better than PlayStation. I am not saying PlayStation First Party is bad rather is that Nintendo First Game end up making more money. PSVITA 2.0 or Pro need to happen if a spiritual successor won't happen. Also they would need at least 1 GTA exclusive, 1 Gran Turismo, God Of War(new protagonist in a different setting), 1 Persona exclusive (either Persona 3 Golden or Persona 5 Golden) and allow to play PS4/PS2/PS1 game if you bought digital. Also third party memory card.

Plus PlayStation did cut ties since RAD was a Second Party Studio which I believe they have contract with PlayStation for couple of years, ever since PSP development which they made GOW titles. Anyways they haven't made a new game nor money for a couple of years since GOW: Ghost Of Sparta. So PlayStation gave them a chance to work on a home console title for PS4 and even allow Santa Monica to help them out...
PlayStation cut ties with RAD after Order flop which is why RAD started making their games multiplatform. I would rather have Santa Monica to make the sequel.
Nintendo switch is not happening. I see GTA V on the Switch but not GTA VI. They did mention that one of the 3 protagonist is a female. They also said that they are interested in putting every GTA city for the next game.

You know there are more than 1 Rockstar studio: Rockstar Toronto, Rockstar San Diego, Rockstar North, Rockstar New England, Rockstar London, and more. Each Studio do their own IP. GTA series is handle by Rockstar North and Red Dead series is handle by Rockstar San Diego. So Rockstar don't have excuses for cancelling Story DLC because Online is very successful even though Story DLC was the most ask thing from them.

I think 2014 or 2013 Rockstar already confirmed that Single Player DLC was coming but then GTA Online was selling hot cake that Take Two/Rockstar decided that Shark Card and GTA Online would make them more money and quietly stop talking about single player and then denied that they never talk about it before.
There too much competition for PlayStation to release a first Party game in Nov-Dec on PS4. While Nintendo Switch doesn't have big third-party games so Mario will sell like hot cake since there no competition so that the advantage Nintendo have.
