Bring them on! Heat up the competition. Gamers win!
The vast majority of Xbox One games will be upgraded to Series X seamlessly. That's what its backwards compatibility is all about... but given the game is already on Game Pass, it would have all sense to have a next gen upgrade very soon for this game.
And keep in mind it will be available (and upgraded) for Series X. How appealing is that?
Wow Wow!... Uncle Phil has gone mad... I don't know how is Microsoft pulling this off financially but Game Pass is a killer offer right now.
Can't care less honestly. Series X is a very exciting piece of hardware, and this time around has all MS financial power behind it, with real gamers in command.
There were fears about the PS5 not releasing this year given the global situation.
The information is that they will release with a reduced number of units as component's costs have raised for obvious reasons, but will not give up the market to MS this year.
I just hope this is something that has been built from scratch for the hardware - which keeps temps and noise low - and not some last lap move to keep up with the boost clocks.
I just can't stand my PS4 Pro fans skyrocketing even in menus. It's really that annoying.
@PGRfox Xbox Series X will be around 30% more powerful than the PS5, so that's probably why he picked PS5.
Said this... PS5 is still a hell of a deal in terms of value.
Good news for PC Gamers! Hardware wise, Consoles are by far the best deal, but software... if this trend continues, PC Gaming could pay off the high investment.
Hope to see more PS exclusives... could replay God of War just for the sake of doing it @60FPS.
Kudos to MS, setting the pace on this one.
Lol... Ok. this got uninteresting. Only in your mind I care about you saying "cool stuff".
Anyway, I'll keep it short this time as you're running in circles.
• If you believe this is a continuation of the past gen, cool. I'll just say time will tell. The evidence is so obvious that it wont that I will not point it out again. Looks like you really, really want it to be that way, but it wont. I already explained why. I'm sorry it ...
@RazzerRedux You need to raise the bar of your replies. Try to start off by leaving insults and personal stuff aside. Also... Just... cool down. Why are you so angry?
Anyway... this one's easy to reply.
• Tables turned? Yes, in mid gen consoles. Base consoles is much different and what matters the most and this is what changed.
• Please read a bit about DX12 vs. DX12 ultimate.
• You clearly didn't understand my first statement. ...
@RazzerRedux About DX Ultimate, NO... it's not just "cool stuff" as you conveniently summarize it. I'm not saying it would be a direct mirror of what happened in the 360/PS3 generation. What I'm saying is that, DX Ultimate will also bring nVidia and its features to the equation... DX Raytracing (keep in mind the Series X also should have much more RT Cores than the PS5), Variable Rate Shading, Mesh Shaders and Sampler Feedback. Those are even in the Series X publicity, i...
This reflects the impact of being the main developing platform. In this case (as usual with Capcom) it was the PS4, and it makes all sense.
By next gen though, I do expect some developers to switch to the Series X given its higher specs, predictable performance and mainly, the easy translation to PC thanks for DX12 ultimate.
Actually, patch came pretty fast. And the results are awesome.
@russo121 People who made the Xbox back in 2013 are not the same now. The Xbox 360 had a fantastic head start which was ruined by stupid decisions about making the console run around Kinect. This was inherited to Xbox One which drove away tons of fans to PC or PS4 instead.
Things have changed dramatically since Project Scorpio, which has been the foundation of Series X. The One X is an extraordinary piece of hardware... powerful and silent, but it's just been the prelud...
Well.. we will need to wait for what Microsoft has under the hat right? They have never invested so much in hardware, services and 1st party studios. They're bragging about their superior hardware right now, and rightfully so, it's been years in the making... but it would be naive to think that's where MS' strategy ends. I expect an spectacular 1st party competition this time around. Good days for gamers are ahead of us.
As for 3rd party... don't jump th...
It isn't that hard to admit that Microsoft won E3 this year. Their show was by far the best, better organized and generated more enthusiasm among gamers and journalists. Yes, Sony still has the best exclusives, but we already knew that before E3. MS is doing catch up but hell, they seem like they're doing everything right for the mid term and ahead. Gamepass is huge is you consider the quality of games it will include (Gears 5, Horizon 4, Battletoads) and the acquisition of NInja Theo...
Ok, I'm a proud owner of a PS4 but we all know that's not how it's gonna look like. Those screens are clearly doctored.
Wow... so much hatred. Get over it, MS will have the most powerful console and that's good for the customer. What a childish reaction from gamers everywhere. They're going back to the right path. Kudos for them. Stop whining.
Nice level. Now we're downplaying RDR2 just because it's on Game Pass now.
Thanks to things like these, I've played a lot more games than my budget would ever allow me to. It's like 2 games a month... sometimes even more. I can also try them without worrying about it. That's absolutely customer friendly, something that can't be downplayed.
Also, if you think about it, it will make the jump to the Xbox (from other platform) much eas...
