Super Mario World had a far greater impact. It was the game that made me want a snes, and when I finally got it I played it religiously. Yoshi's Island was great when it came out but SMW sticks in my mind more.
Quite surprised Ghouls and Ghosts wasn't on there. Hard as nails, but one of the most addictive games I've ever played. If only trophies were available back then, you deserved a platinum just to complete it.
SSF4 is the best fighting game available, you would be a fool to not see that. You may not be very good at it, but it doesn't stop it being the best. Tekken doesn't come close.
Hardcore games, lol. Does anyone actually go into a shop and look for hardcore games? I can categorise games certainly - rpg,rts,fps,platformer,3rd person shooter, puzzle, good games, bad games and so on. But I don't look at games thinking 'hmm, that's a hardcore game!'
This 'hardcore' nonsense is a joke. And anyone that thinks of certain games as 'hardcore', I'm laughing at you as well.
It's not a GTA clone. If you've played the original game you would know that it's very different.
Yeah it's taking the piss now. Episodic gaming was supposed to be quickly made to satisfy fans, but it's been years now. It's not satisfying us.
That's pretty bloody good. I love watching fan made vids when they're well made. Some good talent there.
I like buying those different systems, those different systems have different games that are solely on that system. If there was just one system it just wouldn't be the same.
Put it this way, I like some of the stuff that KFC sells but I prefer different things that Maccy Ds and BK sells. Actually that's a shit analogy. How about this, if everyone was the same and no one was different, would it be more interesting or pretty boring?
To have the same sy...
I'd actually prefer it if there never was just one single platform. More choice is better than one choice.
The best game they ever made was Baldur's Gate 2, which they still haven't topped. Much to the dismay of a lot of pc gamers.
EDIT:And I'm not knocking their other games btw, I've loved pretty much everything Bioware has made. But BG2, to me, is the pinnacle of rpg gaming. A truly deep game that can be played in so many different ways, and which I still play on a yearly basis up until this day.
Nothing else they have made has come close.
This is another generic top 10 list, but it gives me a chance to say that I completed Darksiders the other day and it's in my top 10 of the year. I picked it up for a tenner because I missed out on it when it was released, and it's a stunningly good game. Well worth buying if anyone else has missed out on it.
Reason I didn't buy it sooner was because the demo put me off a bit, but the full game was incredible.
I was only joking dude, I can appreciate your admiration for him. Just sounded like a perfect PR soundbite :P
It will take quite a while until game graphics are truly photorealistic, they are certainly a lot better but we are still quite a way off.
cobraagent, you sound like a PR man.
Because he's a cock like a lot of the twats on here. If it's not Sony then it doesn't reach the imaginary standard. Games are secondary to the brand.
That's not quite true, I would say that a lot of rugby players are upper class inbred tossers that have less brain power than a lawnmower. But they can still play a game that is more interesting to watch and play than American Football.
American football must be the most boring sport ever invented. It's rugby with added armour and more rules. Rugby is a proper sport, most American football players would shit their pants in a rugby game, they'd be asking for a timeout every minute, lol.
Dead Space isn't an FPS.
Good old Mom.
Yeah, too bad Capcom is making old school games in this day and age even though there's a lot of people that still want them /s
