Why a reboot?
The games all follow a pattern. Cortex has plan X and Crash must stop him from achieving it.
The series doesn't need a reboot. What it needs is a decent game. Future installments (hopefully one day from Naughty Dog, or at least a competent developer) can continue where the story left off, but focus on what made the originals so great.
Not good enough.
They won't run out. But IF they do, they could always create new characters.
The kingdoms of Amalur should be on this list.
"When was the last time you read an interesting detail on the "tactical depth" of CoD? There basically isn't any -- its a aim-shoot-aim-shoot reaction time festival, in an almost completely linear environment (in the campaign), and nothing more. But ooh, aah... it shure iz purdy."
CoD isn't pretty...
What you are saying is that these games lack depth to the gameplay, which I can somewhat agree with you on, BUT these shortcomings ha...
Not an issue for me. I only buy used games from Activision. ;)
"Before you get too upset, you should know that that headline isn’t a spoiler. Not really."
Yes it is.
I mean, it's obvious that the Joker isn't going to die for real this early in the game, but his "death" is still a key part to the story and will no longer be a surprise to anyone who accidentally read the spoiler...
This game will be awesome!
CD Project are quickly becoming one of my favorite developers. They have truly outdone themselves with The Witcher 2. The fact that they are still supporting their game by offering free downloadable content and massive updates is completely awesome.
Wouldn't it be awesome if a future Fallout game had the same art style shown in the picture?
Might want to take off your rose tinted glasses, bro.
The old games were good for their time, but to make a 2D side-scroller in 2011/2012 is just plain lazy.
Just because Lords of Shadow was linear, that doesn't mean future installments have to be the same. It's called MAKING IMPROVEMENTS where necessary. Future games can improve on LoS.
I wonder if they'll be using this character in future Gears games. It could be Epic's way of introducing fans to the "new" characters.
Why 2D???
The Castlevania series is evolving. Lords of Shadow was a great Castlevania game. Going back to 2D would be taking a step backwards for the franchise.
Hardly surprising.
No, Bioware, I have not been eagerly awaiting a multiplayer announcement. In fact, I was hoping it wouldn't happen.
New game. Remakes of OLD games aren't going to make me buy a NEW console.
I'm so sick of shooters... there's far too many of them coming out! =/
Who cares. The mod looks rubbish.
In no particular order:
- Dark Souls
- Skyrim
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Diablo 3
- Final Fantasy Versus 13
- Final Fantasy 13-2
- Tales of Xillia
I'd happily purchase DLC for this game.
I mean, it's obvious that From Software haven't locked content on the disc like certain other developers tend to do these days... So why not purchase additional content from them? -- that's if they change their mind about not releasing DLC
