It is full of "inclusion" but is it crap? I don't think it will be. If we accept that this is not a realisric representation of WWII, we might even enjoy it.
BFV is not it. But there are other games like that. Mostly on PC. Angry Joe has suggested one but I forgot the name of that game. Go on his channel on youtube. It's a brand new WWII game and it's realistic. That might fill the void for you.

However, a positive story about humanity does not have to be all sunshine and rainbows. A positive story about humanity can be full of tragedy but have a good message for example how strong we are, or how much good we are capable of despite all the evil around us. Or having faith in humanity despite all the people trashing humanity on the daly basis which is a tragedy in itself. Don't you think?
