Clearly we can see that Bowlings statement were true: All platforms get equal experiences...
Well the reviews will tell the reality once this game is released.
@Chubear
This title is not hyped because of the exclusivity (at least not for me), but because it's made by the developers of Max Payne. Sure, it may have standard visuals and so on, but what I really like about this game is the story written by Sam Lake. The setting and characters of the game.
Alan Wake is also build around open-world technology which really takes some recources from the console.
But I am not fan of graphics. I like the atmosphere more....
PS3: It Only Does Everything including unbelievable amount of hatred towards the other gaming platforms.
Alan Wake has daylight time too. Actually the game devs can control the time of day and weather as they like.
Phoenix Wright Deservers it. I thought the game would be dull and withouth a backstory. BUT OH BOY! What an amazing game it was! I have beat the whole trilogy and the last game I beat was Apollo's Justice.
I hope that this game does not have good nor bad guys. That would be a good change from the usual type of story that Call Of Duty series has had.
That's sweet!
I think it is possible to somehow import the weapons to the PC version. Just like someone imported the Dustbowl map from TF 2 into L4D. Hilarious!
The reason why Alan Wake isn't as good looking as other games, is because it is build around open world technology (while the game may not be a sandbox anymore, the tech is still there). That is why games such as Heavy Rain or God Of War 3, which put the resources and processing power to the graphics.
But it is really good looking game for a team that only has 30 to 40 members.
I think that this could be a suprise hit of the next year.
Every game in this list l...
I actually met a guy on GT who was making this game... It was his first game... His job was to make the last level of the game with few other artists and coders...
Games usually tend to go through a huge transformation over the time.
Like Max Payne... Did you know that the Bullet time was actually implemented few weeks before release and that Max was originally fighting MONSTERS?!
It still has some sandbox elements in the game. While the game is going to be less open, there are still sequences in the game, where you can freely roam in a certain area.
You could compare it to Zelda, where there are many linear areas in a one big world.
Edit: Nice... Disagree in under thirty seconds? That must be a new record
In my opinion the Next-gen filter was a fun add-on to the game :)
Should be changed to on 360 as the title suggests...
@ sam2236
They are fanboys because they gave the best 360 game of TGS to a 360 game? And game of the show was Peace Walker (which was brilliant!)
Sorry for my rageposts.... Sometimes I just cannot take these stupid things anymore.
Anyway, we do not know how Alan Wake will do. While the game may have changed on the side of presentation, I think that we still get the same experience.
I mean... Who really wants games like Heavy Rain and Alan W...
And where is your proof? There are still different weather conditions and YES open world is also there. People have mistaken that this game would not be a sandbox free roaming game anymore, but that is wrong.
Alan Wake is still the same game as five years ago... The tech is same, the vision is same and the open world technology is still THERE.
While I agree it has taken a long time, does anyone remember when these guys released Max Payne after FIVE years of developement? Sounds familiar?
Agreed. This game has a lot of potential and given what I have read from the previous previews... I think it's going to be a really good game.
It's good that these guys do not spoil the whole game.
I mean, after all it won the best 360 game of TGS 2009 (IGN)
Uncharted copy? And how exactly? I don't see Mr.Wake trying to find lost treasure of El Dorado or Shambala.
