There are classes (Solo, Techie, Netrunner). No set classes means you change classes based on how you play. In Skyrim, if you used a Bow and Arrow throughout your entire play-through, youll only level up that Bow class. Also, Pondsmith said that 4 years ago, so whatever they were working on at that time was scraped. Obviously it would be very hard to implement Journalist and Executive from a story and gameplay perspective.
We deserve EA and Activision annual bland titles. Instant gratification, loot boxes with some progression paywalls. We definitely do not deserve a studio like CDPR.

I love that part about how gamers are self-centered, especially with RPGs. I remember a lot of folks complaining about how Geralt was a locked-in character and you couldn't change his appears. And if they didn't add character creation, it was a 'no buy' for them.

Because all of CDPR'S work are subjected to change, just like the original TW3 demo. CDPR is right not to show gameplay. So it's not used against them by outraged fanboys (the downgrade crowd) if or when the gameplay style does change.
