The no pause thing is a none issue, since you can just go hide in a corner somewhere if something comes up. Souls and Bloodborne are one of the most fair games out there. It requires you to think and prepare before battle. Any game that holds your hand is unfair, and you're not getting your money's worth. Every boss can be beaten with the right tactic, and right weapons, you just have to figure out which.
