Steam is top dog because of their early access, refund policy, steam workshop, weekly sales, and easy to publish games on. Plus, quality control is community driven, so gamers don't have to hope or wait for valve to approve certain games to be put on their store, unlike Sony and MS.
There's a marketing reason why MS stopped production of the 360. They knew people were buying more 360s than the X1. They cornered their own market smh. They expect to corner the PC market too, with their new 'open-end' policy, and deliberately trying to kill Win7. It's not about games at all with MS, it's about put their universal platform in every living room (Win 10 on X1). Thats their 'master plan' for kicking Google, Apple and Amazon out the living room space....
PC gaming is getting cheaper, just look at the new gpus. Sony has every right to be scared, they better be scared.

Disappointed about prey. They turned it into a generic horror game. I wanted that badass space bounty hunter with open world, RPG, sandbox, npcs, and narrative-based based gameplay.
This new prey sounds and looks a lot less ambitious than the 2011 version.
So afraid of investing in 1st party games. Instead, MS plays the safe route with gears, halo, forza, and 1 or 2 timed exclusives.
