Fabulous game, love it to bits, but the review is a little wrong in the fact its NOT 1080p.
"Gamer zone is

Take your well thought out unbiased opinions somewhere else!"
Crunchie you just made my day Sir! LMAO.
Frank Drebin FTW!
Oops, wrong zone there fella.
Sadly they will still brag until the day the damage update actually arrives.
"Not all games need 60fps. But when the standard fps for racers this gen is 60 (See GT5, Forza, PGR4)"
PGR4 is 30 fps.
GREAT!...................goodb ye.
My good god!!!! The wall of noise was just fantastic! Now this would be one of the coolest things ive ever seen IF this is some sort of bonus content for MGS4.
"uses the PS3 ***hardware scaler*** to upscale"
Very intersting.
"ONLY prologue with 60 cars."
Make that around 71.
To be fair its probably a reviewers nightmare to review something like this, knowing its a (albeit large) taster for the full game. I don`t think you can give 9`s for example as this doesnt really leave you with much ....leeway? when reviewing the full game. With the list of improvements to contain things such as weather, damage, more cars, tracks, better online options etc etc, anything above mid 8`s to 9`s i think is a bit unrealistic. For me i would score an 8, purely based on what i know ...
I guess it not really any different from Namco creating their version of MotoGP.
Online mode is just fantastic! To see other players on course at the same time as you is just great! Lobby areas can be funny when theres 50 or so people in, jumping round etc etc. Great game online and off.
Getting UK one and Hot Shots Golf at the same time! Gotta love the Hot Shots series!!
Was on the JAP version this morning and was no update.
The patch adds extra online features like Matchmaking. Also ABS has been fixed so if you set it to 0 it actually means 0 (zero). Before the update if it was on 0 ABS was still applied just in its minimalist for. Now you can lock your brakes till your hearts content!!!!
To be fair the pictures do neither game justice. Both look quite a bit better (i have both). We know the technical achievements on both games (framerate, resolution, cars on track etc etc) and these should be considered when discussing, but for me im just going to nudge in favour of GT5:P. 60fps make quite a difference (look and play Forza2 to see what 60fps can do). Also the lighting model on GT5:P is absolutely glorious, though PGR4 is still pretty good in its own way, GT5:P just looks tha...
Not an easy one to call as both are fairly different in what they offer. IF and i say IF you can afford both, then get both. If not i`d say go for which exclusives appeals to you more. Regrdless of if which multi-plat title is better on which, ultimately its the same game. If you`re maybe a movie buff then one sticks out more than the other. I could go on about the 360 hardware issues but it hasn`t stopped people from buying. Still on my launch model which i guess is a touch fortunate.
Crap enough that you still watch them?
Don`t know how players can use external views on car games! Each to their own i guess.
Maximus Formula for me.
