I agree. But what if they continued development on the Switch of portable oriented games (like DS/3DS) and released in parallel a dedicated console? Hmm seems highly unlikely though. Who knows?!
I wouldn't if I were you. Historically if you look at their last consoles portable plus home they had good backwards compatibility up until the Switch. DS games worked on 3DS and Gamecube / Wii games worked on Wii U. I bet their next console will play Switch cartridges ... I can't imagine they would want to piss too many people off.
2021 seems too soon...
Your point is still valid but I don't think CDPR qualifies as and Indie publisher... Can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077! That game is probably gonna take a whole lot of space too lol
If only Nintendo first party games were this affordable... :/
I was thinking the same thing until I started to feel the clutter in my tiny condo get out of hand lmao. Now I'm thinking of selling all my consoles and buying everything or emulating on PC. Beyond the clutter I feel the backlog on console is worse... You never know if the next console is around the corner vs you upgrade whenever you like on pc and optimize every single game. A have a bunch of Xbox 360 / PS3 games I wish I had bought on steam because I haven't played them yet but I di...
Lots of third parties on that list I do hope next gen will be better. The Xbox One exclusives have been pretty disappointing cmpared to the Xbox 360 IMO.
Pretty weird reasons.. I would have expected the author to discuss game libraries but nope.
I agree 100% but I wish the joy cons were better utilised in some party style game... Mario Party was a bit underwhelming
Super Duper Delayed and Forgotten
:P no one forces you to play for Minecraft. sorry man that type-o is just too good.
I didn't know about the first island but I wish the game had a local coop mode on the same console. I can imagine the Switch would have struggled but the PS4 should have have handled at least 2 player splitscreen ... I mean 4 player splitscreen is one of the best features of the console version.
That is a pretty big improvement. In portable mode it must look pretty decent not so sure on a TV though.
I'm a complete newbie to JRPGs I feel normal might be too hard for a first playthrough
I like the colourful neon style it suits Borderlands very well.
Pretty big visual downgrade but still nice to have an option to play on the go.
Never really liked online either I am curious about the campaign too!
That makes sense :) I'm in no rush plenty of life left in my Switch
Those are all good reasons but honestly I can't see myself playing games in 480i anymore... Unless my flatscreen TV died and all I could afford is a CRT...
Edit: actually the only place I could see myself playing Wii games again is on Switch where even a straightforward port of Mario Galaxy would look amazing on the tiny screen.
Thank goodness this article wasn't about MGS VI lmao
