I've given up hope of decent backwards compatibility on PS5. I mean even PS4 should have zero problem playing PS1 games and that function is nowhere to be found.
PS4 is my last console... I keep going back between older games and newer releases... When Sony said PS5 would have full backwards compatibility with PS4 I was super hyped (I have like 75+ PS4 games). Now that they officially went back on their word I am ready to leave them for PC. I would normally miss their a...
Watch Dogs is also free this week on the EGS...
@JackBNimble I share the same dream man!! I am not worried about my job (I work in a hospital) but I hope everything will have cleared by next holiday so all we have to worry about then is video games.
One key difference in my opinion is that the series X may be more powerful its first party devs will be held back by current gen for another 2 years... We'll see :/
Good for you but do you realize that in the current situation our economies will be seriously crippled by the time these release and most folks wont have the money to buy either?
I knew what to expect going into this presentation yet I am still disappointed they went back on their previous announcements mainly that all PS4/PSVR games would be supported. I have a ton of less "mainstream" games in my backlog I was counting on backwards compatibility to justify a day one purchase. I otherwise watched and enjoyed the whole presentation; although I wonder who will take advantage of that SSD read speed and 3D audio chip besides first party studios. Oh well I guess...
I'm a little disappointed..... I was thinking of maybe switching PC next gen in part due to my huge backlog of older games. When they said months ago that PS4 games would work on PS5 I started thinking I'd get a PS5 but I never thought it was going to be a select few... Nevermind that I was also counting on them to support PSVR games now I am having serious doubts about buying a PS5. Still early I guess.
Have fun waiting
I do hope we'll eventually have consoles that come with default of at least 2 TB
Of course they will require mandatory installs. Next gen will be built around SSDs for super fast reading speeds loading environments, textures etc.. There is no way reading a physical game off a disc will be fast enougj
The PS4 did not disappoint in that department I would hope the PS5 would do the same :)
What's the point of writting a review based on a trial period of 2 hours accessible to all for free... Its like reviewing a demo
In reply to your last comment; I agree Sony never said they would release all PS4/5 exclusives on PC however they did say if they do release on PC, it will always be after they released on PS4 i.e. not at the same time. As of now I agree 100% with you Sony has made no statements towards releasing all their games on PC and as such I am totally getting a PS5 when it comes out but if Sony where to officially say that most of their games will release on PC a year after releasing on PS4 such as De...
I think I read somewhere that the PS4 controllers would be compatible with PS5 ... I'm like you I buy 4 per console per generation so I'm hoping to save a few bucks there
I dont like the guy... But I really want another proper TES game!
Ppl are arguing you would need a PS5 to play exclusives from day one but I'd gladly wait another year to play on PC
Edit: type o
@TeamIcoFan well if you're gonna use adult life financial responsibilities I'd like to add that beyond money for 2 AAA games at once... Time is even harder to come by!
Jin has a good point if you were on the fence about building a rig or waiting for PS5 this is the kind of announcements that spells hey sooner or later you'll be able to play most playstation exclusives on your pc why not get a pc instead
Looks good especially compared to the original but nothing special for a modern day AAA game... I havent played the original and the demo wasnt enough to interest me in more.
Yeah... Good old PCs with direct X and forever backwards compatible. Screw you Sony for announcing full PS4 backwards compatibility and coming back on your own words. I'll be switching to PC next gen thank you very much.
