I feel your pain.. my old man somehow managed the game into a fine science and beat it. Meanwhile I've yet to collect the first bell by myself(ugh).
While Tekken is not my favorite fighting game.. the only DOA to ever eclipse its Tekken counterpart was DOA 2 when it first came out. Other than that DOA has always be kinda underwheling to me(especially beyond the first week of ownership).

Ironically the recent Tecmo Bowl Throwback is when the exclusivity hit me the absolute hardest. I loved the 2k series and was quite pissed about it being gone, but to finally have my all-time favorite series brought back recently only for it to be gimped with fake teams and players was painful.

How is this news? This has been a mainstream opinion since the damn system(x360) came out.. anyone who does not agree with the sentiment is rather naive. MS is basically trying to match Apple's structure point for point by having a complete lockdown on both software and proprietary hardware.
You're missing the point.. Microsoft is trying to "own the internet" by essentially forcing the gamer to stay within their little sphere of control.. viewing/buying through them only.
