Why are the graphics generic you ask? Because all their artists and graphics designers are working on cosmetic items to sell as microtransactions.
Making a better game would mean scrapping the GaaS/MTX model which has proven to me more lucrative than selling the entire game at $60 a pop + map packs. Thats why companies refuse to drop the model.
Microsoft would have to give away the Halo IP completely then. 343 is Microsoft, they made it and staffed it. The same way they made Crackdown 3 which was also a trainwreck. Gears 5 wasnt that great either. See the pattern?
This is the same thing that happens with EA.
I agree about the wasting money on wars but its not possible to make carbon based lifeforms immortal unless you grow new bodies and transfer consciousness. The last part will need computers. And uploading your consciousness to the internet is more or less in line with putting yourself on the blockchain.

Crackdown could have been if they didnt ruin it. The first one is a masterpiece. Halo is a F2P, MTX fest. Gears of War is much the same.
