This is the same excuse that EA shills make. EA isnt making the game, Dice/Maxis/Criterion/Danger Close/Visceral/etc is.
Almost every single western AAA publisher is putting out garbage games right now and they are absolutely at fault.
All of the things you listed are being done on PC for free and with no ads.

Its not that bad, but I do think they could improve in a few areas, nonetheless, I will buy it when it releases because the premise and character is actually interesting.

Take a look at PC, nothing is available on disk anymore. Consoles are pushing to be all digital too, and alot of dumb consumers jump on board even though the digital price is the same as physical (or more).
Soon you will be paying for nothing but rights to access a file and those rights can be revoked at any time and any reason.
He is right about subscription services killing the industry, but all consumers see is a low upfront cost of entry.
Sure but are they going to crackdown on IGN, Gamespot, etc for the same thing? Doubtful.
Going OOB is better than big corps wearing the franchises as skinsuits and destroying whatever is left of the IPs.
Glen needs to real his PR team in. EA is trying to pull a fast one by rebooting his old work at the same time. Calling his game AAAA isnt going to cut it with EA's marketing budget.
Id give anything for another game or movie like The Thing. But that would require creativity and vision, something the entertainment industry lacks.
