No worries, I did beat Trails of Cold Steel II back in July (First took 88 hours and the 2nd around 67 hours). I have SC of the Sky series to beat too and the Crossbell arc.

I in return started the Legend of Heroes: Trails of cold steel games and was blown away. Gonna start Trails of azure before cold steel 3 arrives next month.
I stopped playing after Act 1 because the game bored me like hell.

Nintendo did never tell developers that they have a certain amount of games they can release, why would they? They get paid for every sold copy the developer sells so they are making money.
The Nintendo seal of quality is what you get from them in regards what you mentioned earlier. And yes, it was also to prove that the games on NES was good and not bad.
