You're paying for a service. It isn't free.
A reminder that analysts get things wrong.
@Tacoboto
Kotaku's senior editor Alyssa Mercante has been doing nothing but trashing the game and the Shift Up devs.
Their most popular game, Nikke reached $600 million in global revenue by the end of 2023. So, they have some spare change to throw around.
A $70 game with a shitty MTX cosmetics shop and newly added a battle pass. Conveniently added after the game's launch of course.
Because a certain group of people love to insert identity politics into video games, and when any developer doesn't conform their views they have a meltdown on social media.
One is a single player game and one is a live service game. One is $40 vs$70. And most importantly, one game is there to spread democracy.
Judging from steam reviews, gamers care. Not plastic gamers. Why didn’t Itsuno mention such MTX would be available in-game? Why weren’t the MTXs there for review copies?
There are have been great souls-like games from other developers. I say if another developer can put their own spin on the genre then I don't see the problem. I don't get the whole defensive gatekeeping. Nioh, Lies of P and Remanent are great games in that genre.
If the PS5 Pro or any console with updates specs can’t do 60 then that’s a developer's issue, not system. What you’ve read is some bait article because nothing has been officially announced.
LTG ban is probably a combination of plugging and his constant online toxicity in the game. Harada should just make it that if someone ragequits or plugs, the other players automatically gets the win.
correlation doesn't equal causation......unless you're polygon.
"Most likely getting rid of diversity hires" source please, not your personal feeling when stating something like that.
Right, all the people that don't like this are the ones who play those games you mentioned. Trying to create some kind of strawman argument there.
You're free to leave anytime. Just remember, Sony allowed and even trailed Life of Black Tiger on its platform.
This conversation isn't about Minecraft.
"I suggest you to stay away from their games because once you buy Hi-Fi Rush you´ll be filling their pockets just the same." Such a dull take. Meanwhile Sony is getting their 30% cut means nothing to you. Brain-dead tribalism at its densest.
$70 AAA games with multiple season passes and multiple MTXs get similar or even higher scores.
