Frostbite 2.0 is NOT a new engine. It is a modified, better optimized, improved engine (all of which COD's engine is not) based off of the original Frostbite engine which is as old as Mirrors Edge (maybe even older). Granted its not as old as the COD engine which dates back to a modified QUAKE engine.
With the exception of that all you points though are valid. BF3 is gonna be insane!

Well you got to remember that if Battlefield isn't finished then neither is Uncharted so BOTH have just as likely a chance to be better in terms of graphics. Deus Ex a Mass effect rip off? Well first off the Deus Ex series is lightyears older than the Mass effect series. Second, rip offs are usually VERY VERY VERY similar and the rip off ends up sucking. Well yes I agree they are a bit different, but no BF3 is not a "Large scale realistic military shooter". I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure RAGE has been in development even before borderlands. I remember hearing about this game even before borderlands was announced.
The only game out of the 40 or so that I own that I have seen screen tearing in is METRO 2033. Other than that I can play at very high frame rates and not see screen tearing in any other games. I know that its possible to cap the frame rate, but what I was trying to say is that IGN is wrong in saying that PC's MAX is 60 fps when its not. The PC is capable of much higher frame rates than that.

Art style is a very important thing when creating a game. There was just something about Resistance 2 that was too cartoony and it was hard to take it serious when taking in the gritty story they were trying to depict. This is looking to completely change that. Well done Insomniac.
I can believe that because Metro 2033 was filled with AMAZING eye candy and is one of the best looking (hard to run) PC games on the market today. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up looking better.
Probably wont match Battlefields scale or multiplayer, but it will be PhENOMENAL!
