The problem with that is that playstation has had dedicated servers since resistance fall of man.....every halo game on xbox has been P2P. Just because dedicated servers are new news to you and Microsoft doent make it new in general. On xbl for most games you are actually paying Microsoft to connect to third party servers. Even some xbox one games will not have Dedicated servers.
I would say yes. At this point microsoft while not in a terrible position (it could get better or worse up until launch day) they are in a neutral position with ps4 being favorable...they need some sort of advantage. If these resolution rumors are true they have a problem. The xbox one is already slightly weaker, but that'll only matter if it is shown in the games.
How do people seem to forget the pletora of exclusives the ps3 had and all the franchises sony owns and will own....its like everyone forgot that sonys games were bennchmarks or the most frequent...

This was addressed in an article that it may have changed for both console since they said it (a while ago) and is the reason for the current rumor.

Not just that...planetside 2 one of the best PC MMOs is coming to PS4 for FREE all while you would need a subscription to xbl gold to play titanfall. On ps4 if its F2P or multi-player only its subscription free.
Honestly...while the chance of seeing this happen in the future could happen (however slim) it wouldn't be that dramatic from 1080p to 720p. Especially since this game is far from a "best graphics" contender. 50% gpu advantage does not mean game will look 50% better and as for pixels per second 1080p @60fps vs 720p @60fps is WAAAAAAY more than a 50 % power advantage.
