I KNOW they don't mean multiplayer...I'm asking why they'd expect an XBL component AT ALL, when the original had none. GTA:SA was made well before Achievements, stat tracking, leaderboards....ANY of those features. It's dumb for anyone to expect them to do more than a straight port, for a game that is 10 years old.
Why would GTA:SA mobile have an XBL component, when the original console version didn't?

I don't know about that...there's a lot of great action directors out there. But Neill proved he had the chops years ago, when he was virtually a nobody ; MS should have gotten a deal done then.

Wow...talk about coming full circle. Funny thing is, Neill's stock has gone WAAAY up, since he first did that live action Halo short at E3 for them, so it's gonna cost MS a pretty penny for his services now.

It's not only cross-gen, but it's been in development HELL (just like the original Thief on PC was, ironically), so the engine is VERY outdated for next-gen.

Because that's something they can continue tinkering with right up to last minute before having to go gold. Resolution is something a dev usually tries to lock in much earlier.
This is a white lie by Sony. They are definitely holding back stock for Japan, which is why many retailers haven't gotten any new stock in WEEKS. To say they are doing "everything" they can, isn't true.
