Sounds fun (especially the sentry), but let's be honest... this is going to further unbalance the game. I never quite understood why they reward those that do well by making it EASIER for them to kill people.
I can see it now: Camping sharpshooter safely tucked away in a building guarded by his friends starts racking up kills and ruins the fun for everyone else.

As much as I'd like to see a Metal Gear movie, I thinks it's damn near impossible to do the game justice without Kojima somehow being involved in the script or directing.
Big surprise! A PS magazine gives Uncharted 2 a huge score... Hype sells, not quality. True gamers out there need to realize that exclusives are always looked at more favorably than multi-platform titles. I think that using a keyboard is overrated. Sure, having all those hotkeys and the precision of a mouse sounds nice, but I've never been more comfortable gaming than I am with a controller in hand.
For example, I've played games like Max Payne 2 and Hitman: Blood Money on PC and consoles, and on PC doing something as simple as MOVING can be cumbersome. Console controllers allow for such a smooth and balanced gameplay experience that I've never felt on a computer.

I'm a fan of of both Max Payne games, and the trailer looks surprisingly good, however... What's with the supernatural twist? There was nothing supernatural about either game (aside from Max's bullet-time antics). The best thing about Max Payne is that it's a dark and intense story that happens to be plausible. I hope they didn't stray too far.

I keep reading this and that about how the 360 is dead and the PS3 and Wii are dominating. I will repeat again... I don't get it. I have NEVER considered getting a Wii, and the ONLY reason I would even borrow a PS3 is to play Metal Gear 4 or Final Fantasy XIII. Anything else that I care about is coming to the 360. Fallout 3, Fable 2, Gears 2, Resident Evil 5, Too Human, FarCry 2, Force Unleashed, Left 4 Dead, et cetera!

I too am a hardcore gamer, my earliest memory being of Wanted on the Sega Master System. Though I went the console route through the 90's and into the 21st century, I still had a PC around to experience the likes of Fallout, Diablo, Morrowind, etc.
It annoys me when gamers get caught up in the politics of the game industry. I understand that each individual company has its flaws and some methods are better than others, but... So what? It's all about the games, isn't it? I igno...
Has any game captured the "true essence" of anything?
