I might have to pick up this game again. Last time I played it was on my old system with a sound blaster audigy 4. That particular sound card would cause your system to bsod if you pick up more health packs or whatever they were. Kinda hard to play when you can't heal. How is that for a crazy issue though.
Oh man, that case is ancient! I had that case lets see.... probably at least 8 years ago now! Also pc gaming isn't expensive as this article says, it just is if you like the best (I hate liking the best)
This is great news! I don't know about other people, but trying to get into world vs world takes ~2 hours in my server. Not to mention it doesn't pop your whole part/guild at once.
I'm not the only one who thought this looked like crap? I'm sorry, but based on the vehicle physics this should be a boat racing game...
Wooooo!!!! I have been following this mod for years! I can't wait to go through Hl1 again!
It's very simple... A 720p game can have better draw distances and higher poly counts etc because the resolution is less taxing. That's why ps3 and 360 games are dipping below even 720p. Unless you mandate a 1080p game to debs, they are going to make the screen shots look as good as possible.
I mean my 2 year old pc plays max Payne 3 at 200 fps on max with aa at 1080 p. that being said, it was closer to 2k. You don't need the latest tech for a long time.
Considering how they called mw3 not just a port as well, I'm inclined to agree with you...
The problem with 60fps is it won't happen unless console gamers cry out! You can make your game look twice as good if you don't have a playable frame rate... I think that until people accept the limits of a console, you won't see 60fps because that's how devs are getting better graphics. Cut the fps to make it look pretty.
That being said, sure 5 years or however long the consoles have been out does allow Devs to increase frame rates by optimization and under...
Welcome to PC gaming for the past 10+ years....
We just won't talk about WAW then? That being said, I really hated WAW
It's funny, I get whinny over 1920 x 1080 at times now lol. I used to game on a 22" 1680 x 1050 monitor and then I upgraded to a 27" 1920 x 1080 and pixel density went down. I never really found the need for AA until I went to a larger screen. Now it's just gross without 4x AA. I don't know how console players can stand 720p without AA man....
This is very true (about digital beIng secure)! Steam has never had its encryption for preload cracked before the game was released. It's only after the unlock key becomes open does the cracker community have the ability to pirate the steam game. His is weeks better than games that have released recently.
What's crazy is that card is 4 generations old! I mean sure it's nice that anyone can run it, but there comes a time when one should upgrade...
Not to be a troll but crysis 1 was dx 10. That being said I still agree with you. Only I ONLY play in 1080p :D
@BlackKnight
Thankyou!
It's all about perspective. yea sure it's 20k pixels, but it's out of nearly 1 million. Really not that big of a deal.
That's like asking for a CS:S campaign, some games are just better as MP
It doesn't effect me, but I do have family where the only Internet other than dialup that is available to them is 3G. I don't know about you, but I don't think that I would want to suck up all of my Internet for the month with a stupid always on connection. That being said it really wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
The only reason I built a new pc in under 4 years was because my GPU started dying and I didn't have the receipt to warranty it anymore... Good job me ha! I had a lifetime warranty on it... I figured well, might as well go to quad core and then it was new mobo... I went totally overkill at maybe $1200. NOT $2000.
I mean pc ram is down to like $35 for 8 gigabytes. That is at retail to,let alone what a manufacturer would pay for it.
