And private sales. I'll easily get £300 for my PS5 when I sell it. That's over half the cost of the Pro most likely.
@raiden get the games out there. That's what gets you the system sales. People buy Sony because of their track record of delivering on games (don't get me wrong Sony haven't been great at that this gen either) but they have 30 years of delivering so people will still give them more chance. If MS jump the gun for next gen by a year...I'm not sure who's buying it. The Series X barely sold compared to the lower powered S, so I'm not sure who is upgrading to a higher power...
Doesn't this article state that this includes PS plus downloads though? So all the games on the sub service must skew this heavily

Thing is back then the 360 offered something different. They got the jump by a year and people jumped on heavily because the games looked amazing compared to the PS2. Now there won't be any graphical difference visually and people don't really care about a powerful XB anyway. and by giving PS an extra year they can have the tagline the most powerful for the full gen as they've an extra year to develop. Wouldn't be smart

Not in my opinion, it's an expansion not a game. They have their own categories. In theory something like Elden Ring could release a small yearly expansion and win it every year if that was allowed
DLCs can't win can they? At least not the proper Game Awards one.
Over half are on the new gen. It's not gonna be out for at least a year. By then it'll be touching 75%. Especially with the fact people will literally buy a new console for it. We all know it'll break sales records.
It does sound good, until you realise that's from the acquired games that they didnt have last year. Next year it'll be down that much as there's nothing new to add on top.
