I think Skyward Swords 93 on metacritic is proof that you hit the nail on the head with what you are saying.
All I get from its reviews is that Breath of the Wild is a little bit better than Skyward Sword, so it isn't horribly paced and it doesn't have horribly broken forced motion controls. Durr 10/10 then I guess (not that Skyward Sword didn't get its fair share of perfect 10 scores anyway).
Her animations are incredible. They really adapted the Naughty Dog Jak and Daxter movement very well. She changes her run when she is running up or down paths. Or when you are running fast and she runs off a little edge she does amazing little animations with her feet through the air to when she impacts (you know instead of randomly insta-dying like Geralt did in The Witcher 3 before they fixed it after 2 months).
There are even Uncharted 3 levels of stuff going on too like...
The facial expressions are great at times and okay at others. But look at the amazing facial expressions on this lady when you are in Meridian City though, she even has a weird slight inflection or twitch when she talks. (no spoilers in this) https://youtu.be/5B414Zue3z...

Whoa, one step at a time. VIII was okay but damn that convenient backstory of them all being from the same orphanage sucked (although there is lots of detailed meaning behind things such as the reason Irvine couldn't shoot the sorceress in Galbadia WASN'T because he got cold feet, he couldn't shoot her when he realised she was the mother who raised them all).
But look at the backstory of Tifa, Red XIII, Barret, Cid, Aeris and Vincent alone and you realise how deep VII was...

Its a testament to how poorly the Switch launched. Should have easily beat Horizon since most people wanting to buy a Switch should have been enough to beat day one sales of Horizon.
Well, how badly it launched in the UK anyway. We have yet to hear how well it did in the US (where Nintendo are a lot more popular than in the UK). I'd say it beat Horizon sales there.

@vega275 No it didn't. It took almost a year for Alan Wake to sell 1 million units on 360. Do you want to know what DID do well on 360. Sniper Ghost Warrior launched a month later and took about 4 weeks to sell 1 million units. The 360 fanbase really showing their diverse gaming habits there. It also says a lot that Alan Wake was the last quailty 360 exclsuive/PC game to come to the console since it was pretty much Fable, Halo, Forza, Gears here on out, oh and garbage GARBAGE Kinect games...

Forget it. The 3DS was launched in 2011 and Nintendo STILL announced and released the newest Pokemon game at the time for the DS. It would be VERY Nintendo of them to announce the next main series Pokemon game for 3DS still because Nintendo.

Exactly. no other game has come close to actual water sitting on the windscreen and then getting wiped away from the wipers. Even in the first Project cars it was a simple PlayStation 2 era rain drop effect on the windscreen that "fades away" when the wipers hit it. Not even close.
In Driveclub it was shocking when the windscreen fills with water and then you take a sharp corner and all the water runs off the other side of the car from the force. Pure magic in motion.
I would prefer a James Cameron sequel to Terminator 2 lol. Yeah, make a sequel to the game millions of people stopped playing a week after it was out.

Keeping an eye out for something is always a good thing. You never know when it might sneak up on you and either disappoint or entertain.
Hopefully Xboners can get some of the latter from this years exclusives and not a majority of disappointments like 2016s lineup (forza and gears saving the day of course).
I was highly skeptical of this but apparently it isn't made by the same thrash studio that made Flatout 3 so its worth keeping an eye on. I think this one is made by the guys that always make the WRC games that have been out the last 6 years.
At least nobody is afraid to say Horizon Zero Dawn has its flaws. The latest Zelda, just like the last one Skyward Sword, is a "flawless masterpiece" lol. It would have been IMPOSSIBLE for BOTW to score any less or gaming journalists would had to explain themselves.
