@micbrc True, not really sure what he means by that. I guess Shadow of the Colossus is a massive jump from Tekken, Twisted Metal and Tomb Raider on PS1.
But then Shadow of the Colossus was more next gen than ANYTHING on 360 in its first year except Oblivion and finally Gears of War in late 2006.
When we say the jump from one generation to another, we assume we are talking the end of life games on the current console to the first generation games of the next console...
Awesome, Battleborn was on Unreal 3 and that had me worried they would target that for the next Borderlands game.
@Deep-throat And yet in Quantum Break you (as in YOU personally because of course you "played" it) had to push the A button to literally watch the next episode of the "game".
And when you were "playing" it all you had to do was press the left stick and your characters arms STILL clipped straight through a wall like a PS2 era game, even running at 8K on your precious PC Mustard Race machine.

@christocolus Sort of like the PS3 with ITS 2 previous generations of titles (over 90% from launch too) then but of course nobody cared about it back then, most CERTAINLY not 2 years after launch either.
Sony learned from their BC caring ways last gen and didn't include PS3 hardware inside the PS4 to stop it from being a higher price this time.
Again, nobody cared about it, its a game changer now of course (and still doesn't sell consoles).

Don't leave out the day one patch not fixing the controller sync problems, the system won't let you do anything with your saved game files, launch day problems with Amazon UK and GAME which can't be a coincidence.
It sure would have flopped if we assume all the fanboys' exclamations of "it wasn't even on my radar ever (even though it was the reason Xbox won E3 2014 for me)" lol, were actually telling the truth and not just downplaying the damage of the game being cancelled.
@darthv72 Sony Japan have been working on plenty of titles over the past 7 years since The Last Guardian's conception. At this stage I think we can assume you are never going to get anything right ever.
@krypt1983 Destiny also sucks lol. Guerilla Games have surpassed Bungie by going outside their comfort zone and still creating an amazing game (if Killzone 2 isn't an amazing game with its 91 metacritic score then you must agree that NOTHING this gen on Xbone has been amazing either except Forza Horizon 3 that only matched that score).
Bungie went outside their Halo comfort zone but still did an FPS and proved they are a one trick pony with the Halo series they used to develop.

But that hardly says anything when Skyward Sword scored lots of 10/10s. All that game proved was that people were terrified to fault broken controls and a badly paced adventure.
Some reviewers are in a dilemma here. I, of course, am talking about the klutzes that actually awarded the mightily flawed Skyward Sword a 10/10 over 5 years ago.
What are they going to do when they score this new Zelda game, one that is most likely going to be better than, arguably, the worst main series Zelda game ever?
Can they give Breath of the Wild a 15/10 score? How does Eurogamer give it more than an "Essential" grade when Skyward Sword was a perfect 10?
