Sony is not dropping the ball, Sony will light up the sky with the gameplay fireworks off theyr 4 Playstation only games and will end with a grand finale.

Thats why Microsoft is bringing a lot GaaS games to Windows and Xbox.

One example; Rise was a 360 kinekt game in the making, than they turned it around and make it a Xbox One game. That was is abandoning the 360, and it is possible that they do it again.
