Here is one reason; It's fun.
It kills me how people expect to instantly be good at it and when they suck at driving they say the game is crap. I hit a near perfect line going over 100MPH through a red corner today. The feeling was so rewarding because I had crashed into the wall a dozen times but today the breaking and seeing the best lines started to click with me.
My guess is that it is a clue that there will some form of multi player interaction; similar to demon souls perhaps or something to do with the Morse code flash light tool.
And then just 2 months later, Roberts says that there is "potential" for SC on the PS4/XB1.
I couldn't agree more and I think it eventually end up on at least one of the consoles if not both.
The first part is just a tutorial. If you didn't make it past that then you didn't get to the actual game.
It is a lot of fun. Definitely worth adding to the library!
I hope it's 60fps. I don't think the game is that demanding and I think it's one of those games that could really benefit from a higher than 30fps frame rate.
Why not just review the single player mode?
Oooh! Thanks for the Peggle reminder!
This is a surprisingly fun game.
Nothing is wrong with the servers. They have already stated that getting the software bug corrected is job 1. Weather, replay and photo modes have been in the works for a while and probably have little to nothing to do with the connection issues.
WOW! That actually looks really good!
It's worth it if you are a racing game enthusiast. I already have Driveclub and plan on getting Project Cars as well. I'm sure Gran Turismo will eventually be coming to the PS4 as well. $399 + a racing seat is pricey but worth it if you are really into racing games.
Driveclub is fun, easy to get into and a joy to look at. The physics was what I was most worried about but they seem to have nailed that as well.
Great review!
If you have PS+ download it for free and do your own review. Reviews are all over the place these days.
I hope they don't do this with Farcry. I was really looking forward to both titles on PS4.
As crappy as that video is, those effects still look amazing. There is something Evo has done to really capture the sense of break-neck speed.
It's a game. It plays fine when you are able to connect. If you can't connect you can still play offline. good grief. Sometimes I wonder if these people writing these stories have ever actually played the game.
