I wonder if Peter Moore recalls that even after launching a full year ahead of the PS3 and $200-$300 cheaper than the PS3, that the PS3 still surpassed the 360 in sales.
People have died playing football, baseball, tennis, soccer, poker, and many while doing countless other activities. I think there is a big difference in someone dying while doing an activity and the activity itself causing death.
Go to any target, Best buy, Walmart, Gamestop and you will find and Xbox or Playstation demo area set up. I would imagine they will do the same for Morpheus and the Rift. What's so hard about that?

VR IS 3D gaming. A large number of people have to be excited about it, and then that excitement has to go away. The only people that really that know that VR is on the horizon or gamers and tech heads that are into this stuff. My mom has no idea that VR is about to be offered to the masses.
The 30FPS frame-rate isnt the problem on the PC. The constant stuttering seems to be the issue even at 30FPS.

Why do you hope he is right because YOU have no interest in VR? How is having VR available to others that have a lot of interest in it going to detract from your enjoyment of non VR games?
color tv was a fad. rap music was a fad. HD gaming? who needs that? people are still saying 3D is dead and was fad despite the fact that just about every major action/sci-fi movie is being made in 3D. Now VR (before the general public has really been properly introduced to it) is already being declared a fad!? Can it even be a fad without a large number of people being enthused about it first?
I think making 3 of the highest rated games EVER kinda says it all.

The PS4 will basically hold your hand while you learn the ins and outs of the game. it's won't throw everything at you at once. You are going to have to level up before it opens up more features and options.

$399.99 price point Vs taking a loss per unit or a $449.99 Price point. Pricing was and is one of the key factors that led to the PS4 out pacing the XB1. With more PS4 units in the consumers hands, Playstation had more leverage when negotiating exclusive deals with devs. Since neither console launched with a 1 TB drive so it was not dis-advantageous for the PS4 to launch with a 500gb from a marketing stand point.
Who can make a AAA game for $2,000,000? I think the kickstarter was more to see how much real interest fans of the series still had in the IP. People are not mindless robots. They made the choice to support the effort and in many if not most cases will also receive a copy of the game.
The original Fat Princess was fantastic. I'm really glad to see a new version coming back.
