unless I missed something he didnt mention anything about blue-ray sales. The profits on these should also be factored in since this is the number one blue-ray player out there. The fact that it is a multi-media platform not just a gaming platform should be considered.
This is the main reason I bought mine is for the blue-ray movies. The games are just a perk.
If there are widespread heat issues than maybe but I am guessing those would have shown up by now.

Go to any big box retailers website and search 'blue-ray'. Then search 'HD-DVD'. Compare how many results you get for each. Granted its not very scientific but if I am in the market for a next-gen movie player thats what I would be looking at. I think the demo is pretty good. I thought the handling was superb and I never had any problem coming in first evert time. I still dont think I will buy it though. Maybe rent it first fosho. Cheers!
It is sad that some people are consumed with hate. I think that these types are a minority though but they just tend to get more attention.
I also agree fully on the HDMI cable. Its all digital right?? 1's and 0's.. As long as the cable isnt cheaply made it should suffice right? I had 3 of them thrown in with my tv and they seem to do great! They certainly were not monster cable though.
.. I am not saying that I think one is better than the other but since when has being the better format determined who wins.. Beta-max was better than VHS, Laser-disk better than DVD... IMHO

I wouldn't leave because of what some simple minded people have to say about the PS3. The truth is that many likely feel very threatened by this game because it is going to be so awesome. Titles like this are what is going to make the PS3 successful. Granted I still play my xbox 360 a lot more but I have played the sh!t out of the motorstorm demo and I cant wait for it to come out. Just my 2 cents.
