They were 3 consoles when PS2 achieved the numbers I mentioned so I don't see your point. The fact is being first did wonders for MS even though they launched a faulty system. People were ready for soemthing new and went ahead and bought a 360. Its pointless for the PS3 surpass the 360 after six years.

No Gribble, the 360 is not a failure, far from it. You see the first Xbox sold 25 million while PS2 crushed it with over 120 million. The 360 is approaching 70 million units. Even if you subtract all the RRODs the 360 has doubled what its predecessor did. Meanwhile the PS3 is a few million behind 70 mills, a little bit over half of what PS2. So who is the bigger failure if you can call it that?

I have the Deluxe version paid in full with ZombiU and Mario. If Ninja Gaiden 3 gets improved like its developers have been touting, I'll keep my eye on that. After that I'll probably get Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and Monster Hunter.

All this crap and putting ourselves adjetives such as "core" or "casual" is plain stupid. Sometimes I want to play a big epic game and sometimes I'm waiting to be called in an office or just have some time to kill and I feel like playing Temple Run. What's the problem? I could give a rat's ass if the WiiU is not a big leap, All I know is that if I want to play an HD Zelda,Metroid,Mario etc., WiiU is the place to go.
Even if it did secure some type of MGS exclusivity, all this whining is not justified. People need to grow up.

So all the sequels that came out on PS3/360 should've launched for PS2/Xbox. MGS4 should be on PS2!!! -_-

What an idiot, I feel so ashamed of all this childish crap from fellow gamers. Its as simple as this: Sega canned it, Nintendo picked it up. Lord knows why neither MS or Sony didn't do it. I mean c'mon its Platinum Games, these guys have a great track record. Selling a mil to a mil and a half would've been enough to justify it, I seriously doubt this game is very expensive to make.
