I just renewed my Gold membership, get mad at me internet!!! I don't mind paying for live, better online play, party chat and I dare to say more competition from its users. I can breeze thru a CoD or BF3 match on PS3 but sometimes I get my ass handed to me on Live. Overall I just prefer Live more. Auto syncing achievements and faster download speeds helps too. I do agree for the most part with the lack of exclusives though.
Wii U is targeted towards "hardcore" yet it doesn't have universal voice chat, universal invite system or an achievement/trophy tally. Things a lot of "hardcores" take for granted nowadays.
Every year is the year of the Playstation 3 it seems....

Do the people who praise the gamepad for this feature only have a single TV in their house? I have a 40" inch for gaming and Blu-Rays alone. Why on earth would I play on a 6.2 screen?

Threatened? Why? I don't work for MS nor Sony and I actually have a WiiU. Its OS is slow, voice chat is game to game, ports look worse and ZombiU looks ugly and that's me being nice. As an Xbox owner, this is dumb. I'll enjoy my Xbox 720 or whatever its called and hopefully those who prefer Sony can do the same with the PS4. I don't want Sony to fail because then Microsoft won't have competition and get lazy.

I think this is a missed opportunity. This redesign should've been set up to compete with the likes of Apple TV and Roku. With the great caveat that it plays full-featured games. A potential customers of these could buy a WiiU down the line after playing a Zelda or something.
Out of all of those, I'd try Revelations. ORC looked bad and RE6 is my personal disappointment of 2012.
