To be fair I don't consider Zelda a port because it was released simultaneously with the WII U, so that's for debate but I get you when you say ports. WII U was a failure and people miss out on some great games because of that. DK tropical freeze super fun, would be a waste of a DK game if they didn't re released the game, at the end of the day it is a business but ports should be cheaper.
the slim was to replace the OG PS4, the XBOX S had a significant upgraded compare to the OG XBOX one, not the same thing at all. While yes a new ps4, the XBS was an upgrade the slim was not.

it is good for the guys making the games, is it good for the guys making the consoles? do I pay 60$ for XB live or 20$ for nintendo if I only play fortnite? If I am really cheap do I only play on mobile? It is nice to have cross play I just don't think financially it is good for the makers of a console.
