You still have to be logged into the PSN or you can't play.
The only positive thing to this is that THIS way, you can have multiple soldiers...and raise their stats differently, just use a different Konami ID for each character you wanna create.
This'll mess up their plans for this to be as big of a game as it should've been though because newcomers to the series aren't gonna want to go thru the process of getting a Konami ID and Game ID just to play when most other...

he's posting story spoilers as he goes along in the game.
Pretty massive stuff in there. He reveals who 'started' the Patriots...among a lot of other things I shouldn't have read.
I'd advise you stay away from gaming sites altogether because SOMEBODY is destined to ...
so even though I read the spoilers he posted, I've forgotten all but one by now and that was the last line.
Not sure why that one stuck with me, but I definitely won't be visiting any gaming sites that are prone to have asshats posting spoilers for the next 6/7 days....
Well actually, until I beat the game because I'm sure the day the game drops (or few days before) everyone will know everything there is to know about MGS4.
I'm glad I have a bad memory and will probably forget these things before June 12th, but you should be banned if there's any truth to these.

As others said, MGS4's I'll accept gladly, but its a 50GB game for goodness sake.

An overwhelming amount of quality and volume. Thanks to a lot of great features, long time fans of the series and neophytes alike will be able to enjoy the game. Even if you’re not so great at action games, we really recommend you give this a try. Furthermore, the content in the Metal Gear Online mode is an excellent addition to the main story. A game with seemingly no weak points whatsoever.

I'm surprised Famitsu hadn't done a review before now, as they usually ALWAYS have exclusive MGS4 info etc.

GREAT to know the replay value of MGS is still intact.
THAT is the main problem w/ this setup.
Even if someone is on your PSN friendlist...you STILL have to 'ask' them for their Game ID in order to add them to your clan or find them in a game to join their game.
If they haven't fixed that from the BETA, then there's gonna be a massive uproar.
If not, I suspect they'll patch it later if possible.
