This generation has sold more systems and games to date.. and has some of the best games ever, so tell me again why this is the worst generation?
And if it is the worst generation ever it is because of garbage like COd for the Vita - duh. The Vita (according to Sony) is supposed to be a console experience in a handheld - that's just lame because now you're competing against consoles??? Lame product and incorrectly focused.
I would simply avoid the Vita .... there is no vita left in the Vita.

hahaha ...I was playing with at least 2 million + on Halo 4 just this week, and that's just one game - if that's dead, where are the other networks?

Considering Skyrim has sold 6 million plus games on the Xbox and about 4 million on the PS3, I'd say it's only going to hurt the console that doesn't have that game. I think Sony knows they need those games.
Maybe the problem is with Sony.... Every other developer seems to work great with M$'s Xbox. It seems there are so many articles with PS3 owners whining and threatening these game companies over the years... I'd say the blame is on Sony.

yeah, and I'm finding it hard to believe that final hardware will have 8gb of ram - it could which would be great but I'm thinking 4gb is going to be final spec.
And as you pointed out faster ram and little less would do more in the case of gaming.

what nukeitall is saying in a rhetorical way, is that almost none of those triple first party games from sony and microsoft run at 6o fps.
Rage does run at 60fps(sometimes) but Rage didn't look as good close up as people want to believe.
The Vita does have those games - too bad they aren't helping sales for the device and the games themselves don't seem to be selling that well for the machine either. Sooo what was your point again?
As for cost - you do get what you pay in this case- you can gamepad adapters for tablets now that work pretty well.

Wishful thinking. Nintendo has the 12 and under, and there will always be new kids that want the latest Mario - Can't say that about any of Sony's franchises or Microsofts.

Great post with good examples. KZ3 looks great but is a more linear game yet still struggles with pop-up as well throughout that video which I noticed on other levels when I played it.

Halo 4 is a much more open game with much more going on and still manages to produce some incredible graphics. Oh lord, I'm sorry I missed the part where I had to own a Vita before I could read a Vita article or comment on it - defensive childishness.
