No!
TLG missed tons of deadlines and finally saw the light of the day. Sony did not cancel it and stuck with it. Why couldn't Microsoft stick to this?
I believe they had a clash with P* in development. Why would P* take a month break over stress? They probably were pushed to much by MS and didn't give Kamiya space to do what he wanted. A dev wouldn't just give up on game like that
"xbox fanboy loves to say that playstation focus on indie too much but those indie studios are exactly how Sony's first party studios first started, some of them will be the future naughty dog, what Sony does this era is what they always done in the past."
Preach!!!
I was surprised when MS adquired like 8 studios at the beggining of this gen, but then closed them down along with Lionhead Studios. It think it might be too late for them to build quality studios, or to give them the time needed to bloom. This is something Sony has got right since the PS2 daysand is paying off and will continue to do so. It still saddens me they close Zipper and Incognito, but that didn't stop their appetite to adquire more
Bungie apparently having to buy themselves so they can take a rest from Halo and develop something new was just the beggining of how Microsoft handle studios... Their complacency in the 360 era was bound to bite them eventually (lack of 1st party studios, same halo/Gears/Forza trinity and so on).
People have been too blind praising Phil Spencer, 4k Bluray, BC, Scorpio, and point fingers at Sony for every chair they misplaced too see this big issue, and then comes Scalebound...
No you are ridiculous @Kribwalker. Stop making stuff up to damage control
Keeping 12 studios producing games is bad for Business. Get on MS level and save up some cash Sony /s
Sony releases games all year around like it should be.
Scalebound was cancelled. Deal with it!
Stop making excuses
Scalebound was adquired by Microsoft (for now that is what we know). Platinum had tried many times to developed this game but didn't have the right hardware to do it before that happened
This game has been Platinum Games's dream project. MS should give the IP back to them just like Sony game Rime back to the developers
Neither did Final Fantasy XV or any game that has been in development for 10 years. It is hard to live to a 10 years hype
It doesn't matter if it didn't live up to the hype. The game turned out well. That is all that matters
Hideki Kamija is one of the few exception there, and yes he is very talented. The man is a developer icon. He directed and created Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Jow, Bayoneta, and wonderful 101, and Okami. All these games have been considered innovative and inspiring. Scalebound seemd to also be another hit from Kamija but MS and this happened...
Squenix, Sega, Capcom, all these publishers that Kamiya himself has successful working with.
I'll give you Star fox, but that wasn't a Kamiya game. Wonderful101 was and turned out great and Viewtiful Joe (whatever is spelled) on Gamecube
You mean the first 2 years right? 2016 was not a weak year for Sony.
But NMS hasn't hurt Sony in anyway and the game is at least average to play for a few hrs.
Stop making excuses.
Thank you for saving me a click. This is just disrespectful and disgusting to read. Why be excited for this when it is also an exclusive?
Lol "I'm an Xbox fan first."
Don't bother writing anything PS with that attitude
I use Netflix for my anime fix. I tried Crunchiroll once but unsub because I don't really have time to watch anime in a daily basis. I pretty much just watch the mainstream ones which are on netflix.
It won people's choice awards so... Not totally ignored by IGN.
Keep being a salty bully.
No Man's Sky reception had nothing to do with the cancelation of Scalebound. Damage controlling Microsoft and making excuses for them cancelling a marketed AAA game is indefensible
