I'm unsure of how climbing will work in this time period, I mean Italy had plenty of buildings of both size and scale to climb but when I think of the American Revolution all that comes to mind are battlefields.
Nintendo knew that the backlash from concerned parents would be far too severe to be worth it, Sony and Microsoft wouldn't suffer anthing like that much outrage from allowing this on their systems.
If they won't release this stateside, the odds aren't exactly great that they'll release a new entry in the series stateside either, especially since the fourth game never left Japan.
*FFVII SPOILERS*
"Did you know Aerith was suppose to return?"
No I didn't, because that isn't true. Aeris' death was written in because at the time nearly every character in a JRPG could be revived, either optionally or as part of the main storyline, and so having a permanent death of a playable character was a shocking twist.
In that order?
Store credit? Is this some kind of joke? It's like a laundromat that destroyed your best suit offering a coupon for 50% off the next time you go there.
It was weird when Remedy said that the only reason they aren't porting it to PS3 is because "it's an Xbox exclusive."
I mean, if Microsoft funded it then that makes sense, but it being exclusive "just because" doesn't make sense in this economy.
Says the guy rolling in more cash than his game probably deserved to make.
Welcome to my blacklist, gamezone.
Why would you want to play a boring game at all, regardless of length?
"Sure, I get why people complain, why they bemoan the fact that the latest Call of Duty is only 4 hours long when they have handed over £40, but honestly, do you really want more?"
In that example yes, 4 hours isn't sufficient for a full price retail release.
I'd like to see a game where being the "chosen one" is a total lie, and you eventually find a cave full of the bodies of previous "chosen ones"- better yet, it should have the villain turn out to be a "chosen one" the discovered the truth, became cynical and disillusioned with the idea of heroism and betrayed his village.
Personally I found the "shocking scene" in Modern Warfare 3 to be cheap, hollow and manipulative. It felt more like a bunch of suits at Activision had insisted it was put in because the series is now expected to have one shocking moment per game than a truly emotional event.
If Double Fine can't create an adventure game for the ages, no one can.
I knew the prices were higher for games in Australia but this is ridiculous!
At least Sony announces new exclusive IPs every so often, in my opinion since Alan Wake it feels like Microsoft hasn't really been sure of what to try next.
Agreed, but I get the feeling it may have been intentional.
I hate the title "Every self respecting gamer should *insert opinion here*", it's so arrogant.
Given the timing I'd say this probably IS the new Psychonauts game.
*donates $30*
In this economy we're lucky that the game industry in general is doing as well as it is, let alone Japan.
