Trophies are just a last minute copy of Achievements. Then followed by Nintendo, Steam, and everyone else. History will remember "Achievement Unlocked" as innovation, not trophies. Trophies are cute and they help Sony to try and stay relevant, but it is what it is... a copy.

Funny most of the games posted are a sequel or has a sequel coming. The only new IP is The Last of Us.
My point was you can't really compare anything other than gaming. MS doesn't make TV's, Blu-ray players, or own a movie studio, and Sony doesn't make operating systems. Xbox vs Playstation is all you can compare. If you compare MS vs Sony than it would be unfair because MS has more $.

Microsoft has a hell of a lot more worth, can't compare the two that way. Only things you can compare is gaming. Company vs company MS can buy Sony 4 times.

Games have been keeping score and rewarding players from the beginning. Keeping score or rewarding players across an entire platform = Achievements.
