The Sony 900e is one of the best mid tier TVs you can get. It's on sale right now here in Canada for 1999.99 but I'm sure it's cheaper in the states by a large margin.

It's more on the low to mid spectrum. It's not like a 1070. More like a 1060 which is still great for a console BUT games get more demanding. If the x1x is already struggling with some games it's not going to happen unless a lot of settings are dropped.
4k means nothing if the game looks like crap.

As the games get more demanding we'll see less and less native 4k games.
