@VENOMACR1227 - Again you're basing your opinions of what should happen in-game on what would happen in real life. Theoretically speaking SHOULD a .50 caliber sniper kill you in one shot to the chest? Absolutely.

But you have to base your reasoning on the game's mechanics not what SHOULD happen. Almost all of the snipers in BF4 have the ability to execute one-shot kills but only within a certain range. Typically after 12-14 meters the maximum damage inflicted by the b...

It's a game, not real life. And more than likely you're not getting kills when hitting from the chest up because you're way too far out. Damage drops steeply with range.

Meh, they're not really meant for sniping. They're just strong precision rifles.

Scopes aren't a huge issue for me. If you're genuinely better than another player it's easy to get by. Plus there are perks that null it out.

But, you're right, it takes 0 skill to hide in a corner with all your stealthy ninja bi0tch perks and silenced weapons and strike when someone crosses your path. Absolutely no skill involved at all.

Plus, idk about you, but I don't drop $60 on a game to sit in a corner and press 2 buttons every 5 min...

There are a load of other FPS games out there but they either aren't great or just have a very low player base. But I think CoD / BF are on their way out soon. With games like TitanFall and Destiny coming out it's only a matter of time before another AAA FPS series knocks them off the throne. Many people are finally getting tired of the same crap from CoD and Battlefield.

It has but it's not been nearly as bad as it is in Ghosts. This game is designed FOR campers. Decreased health, insane perks, ridiculous maps.. it's a camper's paradise.

Huge maps are great on games like Battlefield 4 but Call of Duty is a more fast-paced, run 'n gun game, which doesn't work well on overly large maps.

Completely agree. I've played COD since the first Modern Warfare and have never seen people camp so hard. I thought MW2 was awful for it but Ghosts has that beat by a long shot. It doesn't help that you also die in 1-2 shots from pretty much any gun either. Makes people want to camp to survive.

You're right but this isn't real life. Running around playing hide 'n go seek trying to find the tight little shadow a sniper is hiding in doesn't make for a fun game. And that's what this is, a video game, not real life.

What a sport... someone that's looking for "exploits" to ruin the game. You, sir, are part of the reason CoD sucks. Players that want to cheat their way to the top. SMDH.

The article states legitimate ways to earn squad points which is far from misleading.

A lot of games have rough launches. There's no question about that. But when you've got hundreds of millions of dollars lined up for your next release it really seems like your game should be 100% ready with no issues on launch day. Minor problems, sure, whatever, but some of these issues are just bad calls, not "glitches".

Even if they did that it more than likely wouldn't be anything groundbreaking or more exciting than what Call of Duty is now. CoD went from being revolutionary to being the single most generic FPS series of all time.

Yeah until people stop paying money for it, it's going to remain the same unfortunately. Why would they work on improving it? Every year people still shell out another $60 for the new CoD no matter how terrible it is. Then another $20 to $40 in DLC. They have no reason to change what they're doing until it stops flying off the shelves.

I'd like to say yes but I've seen Riley do some pretty amazing tricks in multiplayer - flying, teleporting, and getting stuck in nothing - just to name a few.

We can't even get consoles that work without day 1 patches these days. I'm pointing at you, Xbone XD

4599d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Exactly. It sucks being a gamer and not having a great experience on a new game on day one, but these days its to be expected. Nearly all online games go through this. MMOs, FPS, hell even Skyrim like the article mentions went through it. They had bugs for months. Its unfortunate but its something you just have to push through until its fixed.

Unfortunately developers aren't able to test every single thing in a game before launch. When you're talking about 100s of 1000s of players or more online at the same time, a lot can happen. And even during alpha & beta tests some things slip through the cracks. Nearly all big multiplayer game launches have SOME issues at first. It happens.

What a terribly written article. And if you purchase a game that requires 6GB of ram knowing that your PC doesn't have it, you're just an idiot.

It wouldn't be so bad if it were large, valuable DLCs being released. But considering the last DLC was so minor, I'd have to agree. A few new quests, a new arkfall type, and a couple cosmetic additions every 4-5 months isn't enough to keep the game alive.

In it's current state the game is just too repetitive. And they seem to be doing nothing but adding more of the same. Maybe it'll be different with this new DLC but we'll have to wait to see. There ar...

Depends on how good of a game it is. A lot of people are getting tired of the SSDD with CoD. Titanfall looks pretty good, though. It's on my buy list.
