Some of the DE maps are downright retarded. I played one last night where I could literally plant the bomb within 4 seconds of the map starting. It was fucking tiny. I see this game getting a lot of praise but I'm curious how many of you are hardcore CS players? All it makes me want to do is go play CSS.
Interesting. I mean I already preordered the game for the beta obviously, but I just don't get the point of this game's release. Same engine, recycled assets, etc. It seems more created as a console rendition, because on PC it offers little incentive to play it instead of CSS or 1.6.

I think you're confused about what this release is. It's still source engine, it even uses some of the same assets. This is more like a Condition Zero type release and throwing console players a bone. I spent some time with the beta, and all I ended up doing in the end is going back to CS:S wondering why they even made CS:GO in the first place.
The game you're hoping this is, will come with a new engine and HL3.

I played through 4 times and got the BBE. It's been probably 3 years since I played it, I'm totally ready for another round.
Its probably cheap as hell and will be so easy to just upgrade. I have multiple 350gb+ drives laying around as it is.

No, I'm definitely looking forward to playing it again. It's just if there are trophies like get X number of X, it seems silly. Isn't there a stats screen of some kind? I forget. Anyways, now that I think about it a BBE type playthrough will doubtfully be required for a Platinum...too difficult for your average gamer I'd think.
What sucks is that I played the SHIT out of this game 4 times including getting the BBE. Do I have to do it all over again?! Should be retroed based on your emblems and stats. I mean why the fuck not?
