The reason this looks bad for MS is because to the consumer it just looks too "me too". Would you want the hard to find "must-have/in-gadget" ; product that focuses on the feature, or the readily available albeit more expensive cheap knockoff? Its akin to buying Helluva Good French onion dip when you went to the store for caviar.
