Can't wait to play this game, glad the date got pushed up from December to August and the box art is very cool.

EA's exclusive deal ends tonight after the superbowl, the cost of the license keeps going up every year and EA can't afford it knowing that they've been losing money the last 5 years on madden....coupled with the fact the amount of money from the NCAA lawsuit which is still ongoing and the bad pr from it is something the NFL has stated that doesn't make for good business......Madden25 didn't even sell well and didn't meet expecations for a next gen title like NBA2K14 d...
Madden is mere shell of its former self, doesn't have the wow factor that makes you want to buy the game anymore due to becoming stale and stagnant from EA not making any innovations since getting the nfl license over 9yrs ago.....but it doesn't matter because 2K football is coming back, look for an announcement after the superbowl tonight.
Madden is an afterthought, 2K football returns feb 3rd......before anybody mentions about the so called conference call EA made about having several more years of the license, yes a general deal (which even that is still a mystery)....not an exclusive one.
If an exclusive deal was made, EA would be sure to make a big announcement for it on espn.com, nfl.com and of course the gaming sites (ign, gamespot, n4g) like they always did every year.
If the license was exclusive the news will be splattered all over gaming news sites and on espn and nfl.com.....but nothing has been posted anywhere, EA is just doing damage control because they know the nfl license is about to open up.
Also operationsports is a EA sponsored forum, what do you expect.
NBA Live is dead, can't compare to NBA2K14....2K football is coming back, we'll hear the announcement feb 3rd...
If that was the case it would be plastered all over the gaming sites like always when they renew the contract, this is just damage control to take away precedence off of 2K's upcoming conference call regarding their offer to the NFL next Monday at midnight.....which is what everybody's waiting for.
But the way things are looking, competition will finally return and the nfl license will be opened up and there will be no more exclusive contracts.

I think we'll see a 2K football game this year, 2K isn't going to wait and extra year only to lose ground to EA when finally getting back to making a new football game....after the amazing response and praise they got from NBA2K14 they're on a roll and best believe waiting to strike to show what work in progress they've done or have ready for 2K15.

The $60 price tag is well worth it for what they did remaking the game from the ground up for the PS4 hardware not to mention getting all the DLC to boot.
I pre-ordered the game last month, just called gamestop and they said I should be receiving a shipping email real soon.

Madden sucked last gen and continues to suck in this next gen, which is shame when there's no limitations to deal with on these new consoles.
2K needs to return and put the state of the football genre back to what it's supposed to be, a game with true authenticity representation and realism.
Your right about 2K football challenging you because every matchup is a nail biter but enjoyable and fun, the gameplay experience feels alive because you truly feel like your part of the game.
The license ends right after the superbowl in 2 weeks, 2K will be making an offer to the NFL to make licensed football games again immediately after the game is over and a conference call will be made and we'll know if NFL2K15 will return this year.

So true about the RE series evolving, i think RE4 was heading in the right direction toward that way but Capcom messed it all up with RE5 and RE6 and the series was never the same.
Even with Capcom announcing RE7, they have one heck of an uphill climb to make that game better than Outlast and if The Evil Within is even scarier than Outlast then it won't matter if Capcom go back to the RE1 and RE2 roots to make RE7 because other development teams are doing things better an...
