The PSP go should be priced around $199.99...and if they get froggy...lower the price of the PSP 3000 to $129.99...and the PSP Go to $179.99....or if they really want to clean up..
PSP 3000...$99.99
PSP Go....$149.99
Both will be sold out in a couple of days if the above happened..
Its a 45nm cell processor...and load times do not show if your processor is faster or not.
Firmware 3.0 is not out yet....
No heat problems on the Slim...Sony designed this like there life depended on it.
You don't need a 5400 RPM drive in the PS3...there have been tests and there was no real difference is performance...but there was a lot more heat.
Now if they could put in a Runcore SSD drive......
Firmware 3.0 is not out yet. The Slims do not come with firmware 3.0...mine did not even come with 2.80. I had to upgrade to 2.80 when I set it up.
The PS3 slim hardware is way better than all the other PS3 hardware..
It's faster loading games (probably because of the hard drive)
It's quieter
It has 45nm cell chip
It uses less power
It has a bigger hard drive (120Gb vs 60gb)
It will bitstream
It's smaller
It does not look dirty after 5 minuets
The buttons on the front light up.
I have both models...and my slim just updated to 2.80...not 3.0
Until 3.0 is release on the 1st of September...there is no real good test to see if it is faster or slower until that time.
I have a PS3 Phat and Slim and both are at firmware 2.80.
My slim is faster and quieter than the phat but you can hardly tell that it is faster...but it is much quieter.
If little old Sony can totally redesign a console in less than 3 years and Microsoft can not do it in less than 4 years and we all know Microsoft has defective hardware...something is just frakkin wrong.
What the Xbox 360 needs is internal power supply, wifi, blue-tooth, Gigabit Ethernet, bluray, and industry standard user replaceable harddrives, and rechargeable batteries in the controllers....
Oh that is a PS3 slim....my bad...
Get a BlackX dock and take out your harddrive and back it up, or back it up over the network....there are ways to do it. But remember everything that you download from the PSN network you can re download.
Folding uses a lot of processing power and stresses the system to the max..except for the bluray drive...
I have been folding over 2 years...
Current STATS
http://fah-web.stanford.edu...
Do you see an Xbox 360 or Wii on here? No...
Here are my stats after over 2 years
If it comes out next year..it will not be finished...and they have to price it right....It needs to be $299 for the xbox 360 slim with Natal...or natal needs to be less than $100 for the addon...
You can use any bluetooth headset, keyboard, mouse, anything bluetooth will connect to the PS3...within reason.
Also the controllers have built in lithium ion batteries, like in the iphone. I have a almost 3 year old controller and it still charges and works. You have to buy batteries for the xbox 360 and Wii.
Apple uses built in batteries and so does Sony.
Also the PS3 has HDMI 1.3a...which allows deep color output....The Xbox 360 does not offer this.
But if you look at the box..its says xbox live is free...
Also they took out the HDMI cable...
At $299...the PS3 Slim is the better deal...45nm cell and bluray and wifi and bluetooth 2.0 for the win!
It looks so cool!
