It's all business. If a dev. Pulls out a real gem of a game, why move on to something new? Well established franchises such as Uncharted and Gears Of War will sell by the millions soley because of the name then there is no reaon to to take any risks. Don't get me wrong, I love Uncharted and understand Gears Of War is a well respected series (just not my cup of tea, I don't like tea) and I wouldn't call these games culprits. As, if Naughty Dog's history is anything to go bu...
I really hope they live up to the great expectations, This is pretty much the last FPS I'm gonna give a chance besides Resistance (because I'm a fan) and OverStrike (because it's Insomniac, you know, the guys that made Resistance).
I'm pretty sure they (we) will. EA seem really intent on using this feature in all their upcoming games to compete with other devs. using similar features such as Rockstar Social Club, U Play and CoD Elite.
I second that, but the very first images of the PS3 slim were fake! Which confused the hell outta me.
And I prefered Eye Toy alot more, oh wait I was eight years old then...
I don't like the way Microsoft is going with Kinect, way too much support for it.
@bub16: Yes PS3 will still be supported by Sony for the next 5 or so years, just less and less overtime. No the PS4 will come out next year or the year after, most likely the year after. Just like how The PS2 is still being supported to this day and selling fairly well!
I think that's a different game ;) Sounds pretty sweet none the less!
@DragonKnight: Because N4G is a hub for jackasses and well frankly dickheads and we are just a minority that is trespassing on this site, I can see why they 'disagree' with us. Thank science that these trolls that lurk this site are a minority in the real world and that is why they spend their lives here and that is why we (should) ignore them because they are insignificant beings.
I wouldn't call Blur a pile of beep. That game was pretty good and the studio that made that was also closed down. Although I agree that split/second was a lot better and was totally underated and overlooked.
Somebody needs to buy them... It just isn't fair that great guys like these have to pack up when the rich fat cats at Activision are drinking champaign out of 50 dollar bill glasses and throwing dingos in the fireplace for warmth.
This industry is very unforgiving, and I blame it on CoD, the game that has ruined this generation so much.
mmmm... She's pretty.
Thank you! It annoys me as well, I hate bandwagons.. Although I fell like Burnout is a little more innocent than the others you listed.
But, but split/second said to be continued... I WANT MY SEASON 2!! :*(
You're right, they totally missed an opportunity there. (this is really late, XD)
Games should be on T.V. It is the only thing that makes gaming so alien to casual people. Almost everyone has a T.V. and Most likely HD set ups with Satellite, or for yanks, cable. With gaming, you have to buy a console which is rather expensive for some, especially for those who aren't particually interested in gaming, then you have to buy each game, which on release costs £40 each!
Imagine it, you have your drama and soap opera equivalent games, perhaps even onli...
How dare you!?
Sony should buy Criterion... somehow? Maybe distract EA with Kevin Butler in a rabbit costume while Tretton and Hirai sneak into Criterion and take them to Sony land.
I see Criterion as the Naughty Dog of third partyness.
@STK026: I didn't want to come across as a total dick, it's just that you listed so many games from all kinds of different genres. I just had to go their. I'm interested in knowing what games you do like...
Yeah, like how Assassins Creed II was a massive improvement to the original.
