You pay for the console and pay for PS+, you shouldn't have to put up with ads on top of that on the dashboard, keep it in the store.
The PS2's devkit was $10,000, the PS3's devkit was $20,000, and I believe the Xbox 360 devkit was around $10,000.
All over three times the consumer level cost.
Not sure why you're getting so many disagrees TheGreatGamer, devkits are always a ton more than what the final product cost the consumer.

After I prefect the stealth I like going in and just killing everyone in Hitman games, some good fun doing that, lol.
I can't think of a single comic book movie that's followed the comic lore word-by-word, the movies are completely their own thing. (Well, when it comes to Fox's X-Men and FF, Disney's Marvel stuff, and the recent DC movies.)
Having said that, I think the way Halo's being handled is fine.
