The main problem with themes is that most of the wallpapers included do make it harder to read. Checkout the wallpapers area, I think the XMB is pretty clear with the ones they have there.

No problem here and I dont believe any theme could do that.
I've seen posts about consoles having these problems after firmware 2.0, maybe that's your problem.
That's very strange, what theme gives you that error? Try contacting them for help, everyone else is downloading just fine.
