In all seriousness though, it went like this.
CoD1- Didn't play it.
CoD2- Great looking game early 360 favorite.
CoD3- Meh, Treyarch are not as talented as IW. This is forgettable and WW2 is getting very stale.
CoD 4 MW1- Oh sh!t this is amazing I can't get enough. Refreshing. Way to go IW.
CoD 5 WaW- Oh zombies is fun...

Microsoft just need to make the X3 a very compelling product, with a wide array of games that appeal to different types of gamer. I think they will succeed if they stopped trying so hard. Although Microsoft came hard out of the gate and tried to tap Japan with games like: Blue Dragon, Lost Oddysey, Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean: The last Hope, among other titles. Snagging Final Fantasy helped. Also trying to make a strong showing every year at TGS.

What!?!? Wtf game did you play. It's not supposed to be 2-3 shot kills. I thought the beta was the most polished and balanced multiplayer experience i've had to date. I know its just my opinion but the guns were great, and every gun can be used effectively. Aside from some map tweaking Gears 3 is ready to go and set to impress.

I really hope that all that time, money, and r&d did not go into the non-future of kinect. Its starting to feel less like an option and more like an ultimatum, buy into our motion technology or game elsewhere. They should just call the next Xbox, Kinexbox. That being said Timesplitters 4! In FC3 I would like to see: improved weapon upgrade/customisation, stealth gameplay that actually works, along with almost all the points made by Jack Pyro, pr0digyZA and e-p-ayeaH above.
After BioShock 2, I trust 2K Marin. But I know little to nothing about X-COM. *headed to wikipedia.
Edit: Ok so its a X-filesey type of tactical game series that was successful in the 90's on PC. But 2k's re-imagining will be a FPS with the lore and core elements of the series in place.

To me it kind of seems like they are trying to replicate the Borderlands formula in Brothers in Arms. At least thats how the trailer made it seem.
This is a bad move IMO. BiA's combat was always fun and strategic to me. It was a worthy counterpart to the twitchy shooters. I would have loved a strategic modern BiA.
CoD is like eating the same thing every day for a year eventually your going to start throwing that shit up or lose your appetite. How this game is going to sell millions is beyond me. WTF! Have you ever played Assassins Creed? It may not be your kind of game but to label it shovelware you have got to be delusional. Its one of the most well put together and innovative franchises to come out of this gen.
This is a great point Alos88 and a nice perspective in which to view this issue. If gamers would put thier money into unique games, and let talented devs flourish. Quality games with diverse gameplay would occur more often. CoD deserves the hate, I don't see why people don't get that or defend it with "you don't have to buy it"... No sh!t but the millions of sheep who do are bad for the industry.
