It would have to be to be at least $150 or so less without Kinect.
Same price as the PS4 without Kinect wouldn't make sense as the PS4 is ridiculously more powerful.

The only odd part is why MS things I would be willing to pay $100 more for a significantly inferior machine. Release a $300 non-Kinect version and you will be the price point you are worth based on the systems graphical capabilities.

It is easy, if you are buying a console to play games first and foremost then the PS4 is the best system to go with.
If you want console that adds lag to your tv shows so you can include voice commands and you don't care about having the best graphics then you buy the Xbox One. $100 more for voice operated channel changers is worth it to some.

I just want 2013's gameplay with crisp 1080p graphics on the PS4. Of course they can implement some more fine touches and add a freaking season mode!!
Sony's plan was simple. Provide something gamers want, the absolute beast in console power (leaps above the rest of the competition). Don't pack in some gimmicky tv channel changer adding unneeded costs to the system (Offer it as a choice for those that want it).
If you want to pay more for ridiculously less performance go for it. It is your money :)
Beautiful cinematic feel of 24fps. You see the PS4 is actually too powerful and would ruin the experience at 60fps.
